Nivea mens post shave balm as a primer?

Hey guys, today I'm going to be reviewing the Nivea men's post shave balm being used as a primer before makeup, if it works, what i think of it and more.

Okay so the hype about this product was real a few months back, it was all over Instagram and YouTube and beauty bloggers around the world were all testing it out for themselves after a certain beauty blogger posted about it on her channel after she tried it out and loved it, but like all products some people loved it and others did not. Personally i loved it so i thought i would do a short review for you all.

It's usually used by men to instantly sooth irritated skin and reduces skin sensitivity over time, but makeup artists have discovered that it works great as a primer as it has an ingredient in it that causes things to stick so when you've applied the 'primer' your makeup will stick to it making your makeup last longer and stay fresher. It contains 0% alcohol and costs around $6.54 (£5.35)  per bottle which is a great price considering you get a 100ml bottle and a little goes along way. The product is a white water / creamy consistency with a pleasant smell and does leave your skin feeling smooth.

I actually use this as my everyday primer (at the moment) and it is really good, it doesn't conceal pores tho so if you want your primer to do this, this one wont be good for you as it isn't actually a primer.

It's a great dupe tho if you're the average working day person who still loves makeup as it's cheap and will save you splashing out cash, but for makeup artists like me i purposely got it really to review as it's not a primer i am going to be using for the rest of my life, also if you are a freelance makeup artist i wouldn't suggest using this as a primer just because there are many many other better, real primers out there like the urban decay optical illusion primer or the one by Kat Von D.

Overall tho it's a great one to try, it does a great job for keeping my makeup on and like i said it is one of my go to 'primers' at the moment, i would give it a 9/10 and i definitely recommend you try it out for yourself. It's also oil free so is suitable for most/all skin types.

If anyone has tried this as a primer or now wants to after reading this feel free to let me know in the comments as i would love to know your thoughts! And as always thank you so much for reading and I'll see you next time. Bye guys.👋💜
