L.A Girl pro matte setting spray review

Hey guys, today I'm going to be doing a short review on the L.A Girl pro matte setting spray. I purchased this spray a couple days ago now and have already gathered my thoughts on the product.

First off, I immediately noticed that the product is quite small, you get 1fl, oz which is 30ml and personally I think that's pretty small, baring in mind tho the spray does only cost around $7 - $8 as its drugstore but depending on where you purchase it and the postage fee you might have to pay, I'd say you don,t get much bang for your buck.

The product claims to be an 'incredible' high definition matte setting spray that gives you a matte finish when applied to freshly done makeup. The spray also makes your makeup last all day and keep it looking freshly applied, it also comes in a dewy finish but I haven't tried that one so I can't really comment on it.

My thoughts: It's a really decent spray for drugstore, I was skeptical at first as I purchased the setting powder from this brand a couple weeks before and really really hated it (I've got a blog reviewing the product further down my channel if you want to check it out)  but the spray on this bottle is really nice, it's not too strong to the point it hurts your face when applying nor too week that it just kind of spits at you and leaves water droplets on your face and ruining your makeup. I also find it a really hydrating and refreshing formula and I personally think it would be great for people who have oily skin as it leaves your face matte. So overall apart from the size of the product I really really like this spray. My makeup lasts all day and it doesn't leave your face sticky or streaky.

So guys I hope this mini review helped and if it did don't forget to give me a follow and as always thank you so much for reading and I'll see you Thursday. Bye guys👋💜

Best of NYX Cosmetics

Hey guys, sorry I didn't post last Thursday, I was unable to upload for a couple reasons but today I'm going to be talking about my favourite NYX products!

I think I'm going to do a 'best of' brands blog every other week or so, or something like that as I think it would be a cool thing to do and so I thought I'd kick this mini series off by talking about my favorite NYX products.Couple things I thought I'd mention before I start is that these are my opinions and my personal favourite products from NYX but it doesn't mean that the products I don't mention are not good products. Also NYX are a vegan and cruelty free line! 💕🐰

1. Sparkle/Glitter Pigments

(STUNNER)
The loose pigments by NYX are perfect for packing onto the lids or applying under your eyes for that finishing touch! They come in 24 gorgeous colors ranging from icy silvers to burnt oranges and teals, they retail at $6.00 each and are great for special occasions.

2.  NYX ultimate shadow palettes

These awesomely pigmented and beautifully arranged shades come in 4 different options, you've got the brights palette which is my favourite (pictured) then you've got the cool neutrals palette, smokey & highlight palette and the warm neutrals palette, all which are stunning and amazing for the price which is only $18.00 each! The three palettes not including the brights one are perfect for creating a full look out of them, the brights is fantastic as a palette used along side another one as you haven't really got any transition or crease colors in the palette, I mean I lightly use the orange or yellow ones from the palette for that job but if you wanted to create a more wearable everyday look and you're not into dramatic color all the time you might need another palette.

3. NYX eyeshadow primer pots

These little pots of shadow base create a smooth canvas for color, will help prevent fallout and are perfect for maximizing the intensity of your eyeshadow. They also stop anything from creasing/flaking and will also increase the longevity of your eye makeup. They come in four different shades, black, skin tone, white, pearl white and retail at a price of $7.00.

4. NYX matte setting spray

This is one of my all time favourite setting sprays and probably my most favourite product ever from NYX. It's perfect at making your makeup stay put and last all day, its lightweight and comfortable to wear and prevents you from becoming shiny as its a matte spray. Retails at a price of $8.00 and is just a fantastic product that I love. ( It also has a really nice sprayer on it unlike some setting sprays that either have a really harsh sprayer on it and you have to stand at the other side of the room to use it or the spray sorta spits at you and ruins your makeup.)

5. NYX stay matte but not flat liquid foundation

This foundation is awesome, that's basically all you need to know, it's a full coverage foundation with a matte finish and is water based not oil based so is great for a range of skin types. It doesn't feel heavy on the skin, it doesn't crease or settle into fine lines and doesn't look cakey on the skin. It comes in a range of 30 shades so you're bound to find your skin color and they retail at the price of &7.50

6. NYX slim lip pencils

The NYX slim lip pencils are in my opinion some of the best out there, they come in 50 different colors so perfect for any type of lipstick. They have thin tips and have a very buttery formula meaning they just glide on the lips effortlessly, they don't bleed and are long lasting so you could even use the lip liner as your lipstick as I sometimes do. My three favourite shades which I recommend you try out are Espresso which is a deep warm brown, Peekaboo neutral which is a natural brown with slight pink undertones and Tangerine which is a salmon color. They retail at a price of only $3.50! which is fantastic considering they are such good quality pencils.

7. NYX pro muli-purpose buffing brush.

This synthetic buffing brush is perfect for applying cream or powder foundation and helps you get a seamless, smooth finish. I use it only for buffing in my cream foundation as its not a flimsy brush, it's definitely more on the dense side so its perfect for making sure my foundation is applied smoothly. I have had no problems with shedding of the bristles and I've washed mine a fair few times. The retail price is $17.00.

So guys I hope you enjoyed this best of NYX blog and if you did don't forget to like and follow and as always thank you so much for reading and I'll see you all this Thursday, bye guys👋💜

4. RCMA no color powder

This is the best setting powder ever in my opinion, it sets your makeup perfectly, is sweat proof, gets rid of unwanted shine and doesn't have flashback. Whether you're baking with it or just setting your face, this powder does it all and will keep you and your makeup looking flawless way into the night.

5. L.A Girl pro. bb cream

Unlike me who likes to have a full face of makeup at festivals, some of you might prefer to not wear so much makeup but still have a bit of coverage and if that person is you then this will be your best bud, this L.A Girl bb cream is perfect if you want the moisture and hydration of a moisturizer but still want that little bit of coverage on your skin. I love this product, I've wore it a couple times (not at festivals) but it lasted all day, felt nice on the skin and if my favourite bb cream out there.

6. Anastasia Beverly Hills dipbrow pomade.

The perfect product for making those killer eyebrows last way into the night, this waterproof, smudge proof and transferproof pomade is perfect for sculpting and defining your brows and is a definite must have product this festival season. ( for added staying power apply some clear brow gel to make sure those brows aren't going anywhere.)

7. Glitter injections pressed eyeshadows

(Caramel kiss)

Glitter injections have some of the coolest single eyeshadows ever (I mean this one is stunning) they're perfect for applying all over your lids or even on your cheeks for that festival season realness!, they have a waterproof formula and come in a variety of colors including a gorgeous ocean blue glitter an a champagne gold glitter. They also require no glue and have minimal fallout. Perfect for the peeps who like to go all out and extra!

8.  Tatcha Dewy skin mist

This silky liquid spray on moisturizer is perfect for giving your skin that boost of moisture and soothing hydration which results in dewy, luminous skin. The hot days spent at festivals, your skin will cry out for hydration so carrying this with you would be a life savor, especially if you already have dry skin. This mist wont necessarily set your makeup but it wont ruin it when applied.
9. KL Polish
   (Caramello)

KL polish is a nail polish line by the beauty influencer, Kathleen Lights. Her beautiful range of stunning nail polishes range from mustard yellows to beautiful chocolate browns and mauve pinks to unique navy blues. Perfect to make sure your nails aren't missing out on the fun this festival season.

10. Morphe 12 color palettes.

These super cool palettes are the ideal size for travel and come in a few different options ranging from a more neutral palette filled with mattes and shimmers or if you're more bold, you could opt for one of the bolder palettes filled with colors like bright greens, vivid blues and awesome reds.

------

So guys I hope you enjoyed my festival must haves, if you're going to any festivals this year I hope you have an awesome time and as always thank you so much for reading and I'll talk to you next time, bye guys.👋💜

My top three current favourite makeup brands

Hey guys, today I'm going to be talking about my current three favourite makeup brands, what I love about them, my favourite products and more, also they won't be in any particular order and so without further a do, lets begin.

1. Urban Decay

I have loved Urban Decay for along while now, I used them when I was first starting out in makeup and I still love their products just as much now, but the reason I really really wanted to include UD in my top three current favorites is because of one of their most recent collabs with the artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. This is such a unique collab and I think its awesome to do it with a non makeup artist/beauty influencer for a change. I have never seen a brand do something like this and for the results to be absolutely stunning, the collection includes two eyeshadow palettes, three lip colors, three eye pencils and a blush and highlighter palette, the packaging is covered in Basquiat's fantastic artwork and the shade selections in the palettes and lip products are amazing and really unique including a neon lime green eye pencil, which is stunning.

2. Kat Von D

I mean come on, of course I had to mention Kat Von D, I mean she is the best, but no seriously she has been another one of my favourite makeup artists for ages now and it just as so happens that shes the creator of one of my favourite brands. The foundations she makes, the concealers, liquid lips, palettes, etc are all flawless and it's very hard to come across a brand and say that you truly love all of the products they create and for me her brand is the only one I can say that about. The shade ranges of her foundations and concealers are so diverse that you will be able to find a shade that suits you, her liquid lipsticks are one of my favourite lipstick formulas ever and her tattoo eyeliner pens, well, clues in the name, your wing won't be going anywhere fast! My favourite product of hers tho is her hydration lock-it primer, that primer is the primer of the gods, its simply amazing and the days when I'm not wearing any makeup I will still apply this to my face as it leaves my skin feeling so hydrated and smooth.

3.  RCMA

The last brand I want to mention is RCMA and its their powders that I really love, they have three, AF powder which is used to dull shine on special effects rubber mask greasepaint, the original no-color powder which has no pigment in it and won't alter your foundation or concealer, and then they have my personal favourite, the translucent powder, which has a small amount of pigment to it that will give a little warmth to your skin. All their powders are very well made and not finely milled to the point that they are very messy to use, the powders do not have any flashback and for me they don't make me look cakey or patchy but keep in mind that everyone's skin is different but if you are looking for a good setting powder or just a powder in general I recommend that you try out RCMA, I guarantee you will love it. Also it does set your makeup perfectly, is sweat proof and will last all day.

so guys I hope you enjoyed my top three current favorites and if you did don't forget to go ahead and like and follow, it would mean so much and as always thank you for reading and i'll talk next time, bye guys👋💜

Kat Von D Lock-it Hydrating Primer Review

Hey guys, today I'm going to be talking about the Kat Von D Hydrating Primer, it's my all time favorite primer, and you will not be seeing me use a different one anytime soon... (I can already hear the people on YouTube who like to criticize everything you do, like "you use that primer alllll the time, do something different.".......NO!)    Anyway, its an amazing water based primer that has a fast-absorbing formula infused with high-tech polymers which minimizes the look of pores.

The primer is a white looking lightweight cream that when paired with the lock-it foundation (or any foundation, especially other full coverage ones) creates a base on your skin so your foundation will glide on smoothly and evenly onto your skin. Also what this primer does is kind of makes a barrier between your fine lines and the foundation so the foundation won't sink into them, giving you a flawless looking complexion, the primer also keeps you hydrated \and protected.

Everything I have just talked about is true!, it's freakin amazing and I'm not just saying that because I love Kat Von D... (she is amazing tho). This product is 100% vegan and cruelty free with ingredients in it like aloe vera and jojoba that hydrate your skin, helping to give that flawless finish to your complexion.

The primer costs $32 (£25.65) and you can purchase it straight from her website or if you're in the UK you can buy it from the Debenhams website.I 100% recommend you getting this primer if you're looking for a good one that does basically everything, I mean even if you're on a budget its worth splashing out, and you get a lot of product in a bottle. ( the bottles are beautiful as well which just adds to the awesomeness!)

So guys I hope you enjoyed this Monday's blog and if you did don't forget to like and follow me and as always thank you so much for reading and I'll talk to you on Thursday, bye guys.👋💜

L.A Girl pro setting powder review.... oh no!

Hey guys, today I'm going to be reviewing and talking about the L.A Girl pro setting powder, so... I wanted to like it i really did but I just didn't..lets get into it.

My initial thought when I first got it was that it was going to be a decent powder but I also noticed that even tho its only $7.50 (£6.00) you don't get much product at all. It comes in a standard pot (as you can see in the picture) and it also comes with a small powder puff, which I never use them but that's just me. The design is simple but cute and for me this is more of a travel sized powder even tho its the only size they do...

When I first went to pick up some of the product I noticed that a beauty blender nor a brush would pick much product up because of how finely milled it was, I had to almost scoop the powder up to even be able to start applying product. When the product was on my face you literally couldn't see that I had put the powder on so it was useless for sharpening my contour with and when I went to dust off the rest of the powder, nothing came off, it was like it had all sunk into my face and even tho that's kinda the point because it's supposed to set your makeup, it made my face extremely dry and it sorta bundled up and made my foundation patchy and clung to the already dry areas on my face.

The dust/kickback that this powder creates is stupid, from when I first opened the pot to when I was applying it, the amount of dust that was flying round was crazy, it went up my nose and I basically nearly choked to death whiles using it.

And finally, when I had finished my makeup (which wasn't the best because of what the powder had done to me, how dare it betray me I thought we were friends....but I guess not) anyway I still wanted to see what the flashback from the powder would be like and oh my god, I looked like a literal ghost, the flashback from the powder was awful, I would insert a picture but I deleted it so fast.

SO my final thoughts on the L.A Girl pro setting powder?.... It most certainly ain't pro, this product unfortunately gets a big no from me. But just remember that just because something doesn't work for me doesn't mean it won't work for you!

So guys I hope you enjoyed this review and if you've tried this powder let me know your thoughts on it! and as always thank you all for reading and I'll see y'all next time.
